Based on the information of the State Statistics Committee, employees of the Samarkand branch of the Center for Economic Research and Reforms prepared analytical information on investment indicators in the Navoi region for January-December 2022.

In January-December 2022, investments in fixed assets in the Navoi region amounted to 19.4 trillion soums.

There is a sharp drop in the use of investments in the region. In particular, 63% of investments fell on three regions of the region - Navoi (28%), Tomdi (22%) and Zarafshon (13.5%). Low investment flows were observed in Khatyrchi (6%), Kyzyltepa (4%), Navbakhor (3%), Konimekh (3%), Uchkuduk (1%) and Gazgon (1%) districts.

As a result of significant investment projects implemented in the regions, the volume of investments in fixed assets increased compared to the corresponding period of the previous year in Nurata (by 3.2 times), Gazgon (by 1.6 times), Kyzyltepa (by 1.6 times), Zarafshon (1.6 times) and Navoi (1.4 times). However, Uchkuduk (90%) and Konimekh (41%) tend to decrease investment flow.

Investments in fixed capital per capita in the region amounted to 18,566.2 thousand soums (10,996.1 thousand soums more than in the republic); the growth rate compared to the corresponding period last year was 27% and ranked 4th among the republic's regions.

In the context of districts (cities), the indicator of Tomdi district (15 times), the towns of Navoi (1.9 times) and Zarafshan (1.7 times) in terms of capital investments per capita is the highest in the region. Uchkuduk (3 times), Khatyrchi (3.4 times), Kyzyltepa (3.7 times) and Navbakhor (4.3 times) districts have a lower indicator than the regional one.

The districts have a sharp difference regarding per capita investment in fixed assets. In particular, in the Tomdi region, where the highest indicator is recorded, the volume of capital investments per capita is 63 times higher than in the Navbakhor region and 55 times higher than in the Kyzyltepa region.

Analyzing the sources of decentralized finance, 33.6% of capitalized investments are enterprise funds, 55% are foreign investments and loans, 10.8% are public funds, 0.6% are bank loans, and the rest is in line with the borrowed funds account.
