A meeting was held at the Foreign Investment Promotion Agency under the Ministry of Investments, Industry and Trade with an International Finance Corporation (IFC) delegation on further cooperation issues in implementing the investor service program in the Republic of Uzbekistan.
Murat Mirzoev, agency director, Agencyssed interest in continuing cooperation and implementing an investor service program. IFC Project Manager Emil Abdikalykov noted that the Agency Agencyen has cooperated successfully with IFC since 2022. Work plans for implementing the investor service program were discussed during the meeting.
IFC organized a three-day training for the Agency's Investor Service Program staff. Mr Robert Hayzak conducted the exercise of International Investment Promotion Consultant. The movement explained the main principles of providing services to foreign investors, the goals and objectives of investment promotion agencies, and the methodology for holding meetings and collecting information about foreign investors. There was also a presentation and discussion of the foreign investor monitoring database developed by IFC.
In the practical part of the training, meetings were held with enterprises with the participation of foreign capital in the FEZ Angren". During the sessions, the problems faced by foreign investors and the obstacles to their expansion were studied. At the end of the training, proposals were developed to improve the support system for foreign investors and plans for further work were determined.
